- CHELLARAM/ BETAGLAS (+10%) topped the gainer's chart, while ABBEYBDS (-10%) topped the loser's chart.
- FIDELITYBK topped the volume chart with 69.76m, and GTCO topped the value chart with N3.1b.
- A total of 38 stocks gained points while 21 stocks lost points.
- The NGX Banking Index gained 102bps on STANBIC (+6.47%), ACCESSCORP (+1.16%), ETI (+1.06%), GTCO (+0.74%), and WEMABANK (+0.36%). FIDELITYBK (-0.25%) lost points.
- The NGX Consumer Index lost 134bps on NB (-5.67%), CHAMPION (-4.11%), HONYFLOUR (-2.75%), INTBREW (-1.84%), and PZ (-1.64%). CADBURY (+0.79%), and NASCON (+1.41%) gained points.
- The NGX Oil and Gas Index gained 7bps on OANDO (+0.82%), ETERNA (+0.11%).
- The NGX Industrial Index gained 98bps on BETAGLAS (+10%), TRIPPLEG (+2.04%), DANGCEM (+1.85%), CUTIX (+0.81%).

Value traded dropped by 23.11% to $8.89m. The market’s trends were positive again today, and banking names were the major drivers of the market’s upward trend. STANBIC (+6.47%) was the key gainer amongst the banks, and BETAGLASS (+10%) also saw good interests in the industrial space. Most of the market activities were from crosses. Some of the significant crosses seen were- 40m GTCO at N67.50, 47m FIDELITY N20.25, 12m ACCESSCORP at N21.80, 20m CUSTODIAN N17.95, 51.25m TANTALIZER N2.30, and 500k GEREGU at N1,027.14. We expect to see continued positive sentiments in the market tomorrow.
